Kindergarten students had an exciting day of hands-on learning and fun! In Ms. Modena’s class, students prepared for the DIBELS End-of-Year assessment by practicing nonsense word fluency through an interactive “shooting hoops” phonics game using pom-poms and cupcake tins. With soothing music playing in the background, students worked with partners to blend and decode sounds while cheering one another on and building confidence through play-based learning.
Meanwhile, Ms. Kennedy’s kindergarten students explored the world of science through an engaging fish and snail lesson! Students learned about the parts of a snail, observed classroom pets, and strengthened their curiosity through observation, discussion, and creative activities. Hands-on experiences made learning exciting, meaningful, and memorable for all!
